The School Board Initiative of CFACR/Vermont Renewal

Vermont Renewal, Inc. is a sister organization that deals with grassroots activism and Vermont lobbying. Vermont Renewal many times uses the educational and research material developed by CFACR to accomplish its goals. Vermont Renewal is financed independently of CFACR.

Vermont Renewal's Public School Initiative ”(SBI) is a program designed to empower parents with the tools necessary to be heard at the school district level. An area often overlooked with influence over children is curriculum and administrative decisions at the school district level.

Steve and Judy have been working with parents and school boards across the state for many years through Vermont Renewal to protect children in the classroom. Children are increasingly being exposed to ideas information without the parents knowledge or consent containing adult themes and adult sexual ideas that over-sexualize our youth before they have the breath of information to make an informed decision and emotional capacity to deal with it … that can harm them!

In some school districts, school children are being indoctrinated into the temporary pleasures of promiscuous and deviant sex, usually without parents’ knowledge or informed consent. At the same time, children who speak out against homosexuality and other potentially harmful behaviors are being ridiculed and intimidated by teachers and other students. Often there is no one to alert authorities to the situation.

That’s where you play a role!

In order to change the direction of our schools, more citizens need to be actively involved at the local school district level. Like-minded religious and social conservatives, traditionalists, and parents’ rights advocates need to attend school board meetings, hold their local school districts accountable when they undermine our values, and fight for curriculum changes that reflect our values.

Having influence over school policy can make a world of difference!

CFACR has researched materials specific to Vermont and Vermont Renewal has an entire program in place to help like-minded people become involved in citizen action and to help them take an influential role in your school district’s policy decisions.

Vermont Renewal has worked with a number of schools in the state, including three of the largest. We have found that each situation and community is different, and our responses to problems must be tailored to the specific instances. We have been heartened to find that when local school boards are alerted to a problem, they will take action.

Our Public School Initiative program is designed to empower parents in each district to go before their own school boards with explanations of the problems, legal implications, enlightenment on the issues, and with common-sense solutions. We help local citizens form Community Forum Clubs to organize and focus the efforts, and we supply them with resources, expertise and strategies so they can be effective.
